The Technician I course is designed to introduce the investigator to the Bosch CDR Tool, latest software updates, and basic imaging techniques. It will provide an understanding of the components necessary for imaging data from the latest supported vehicle manufacturers. There are “hands-on” practical exercises of imaging data from all 3 types of supported modules and the latest information from the OEMs. Students are encouraged to bring their CDR Tool to use, but it is not necessary.
The Technician II course is the practical hands-on extension to the Technician I course. The student will receive instruction and practical applications in troubleshooting DLC data imaging, practical adapter applications, and “Re-Powering” in-vehicle components to enable data imaging.
The CDR Technician I & II certification is the prerequisite to the CSI CDR 40-hour Analyst Course
A CDR kit and software are suggested, but not required. It is best to
train with the tools that you will be deploying to make sure they are communicating
and operating correctly. Some students may be traveling and it is difficult to
transport the large CDR tool kit so students may be asked to share some cables
and adapters during class practical applications.
